Buy a Home

Your Journey Starts Before You Find the House

Buying a home is exciting, but we know it can come with a lot of questions. You don't have to know everything about buying a home before contacting us — that's what we're here for.

Where do I start? How much can I afford? Do I need to be pre-approved? How much money will I need? What happens after my offer is accepted? At Bee Realty, we believe you shouldn't have to figure it all out on your own.

Where Do We Start?

We start with you

Before we begin looking at properties, we want to understand what you're trying to accomplish. We'll talk about your needs, preferred areas, timeline, budget, financing, and what matters most to you in a property.

Our goal isn't simply to help you find a house. It's to help you make an informed real estate decision.

What we'll discuss

  • Your goals and ideal timeline
  • Preferred areas and neighborhoods
  • Budget and financing
  • What matters most to you in a property
  • Insurance, taxes, and flood considerations

Our Home Buying Process

From first conversation to closing day

1

Buyer Consultation

Your journey begins with a conversation. We'll discuss your goals, answer initial questions, explain the home-buying process, and help you understand what you'll need to do before beginning your property search. This is where we create a plan for your next move.

2

Financing & Pre-Approval

Unless you're purchasing with cash, understanding your financing is an important early step. A lender can help determine loan programs you may qualify for, your estimated purchasing power, down-payment requirements, and potential monthly payment. Not pre-approved yet? That's okay — you can still start the conversation.

3

Finding the Right Property

Now comes the part most buyers are waiting for — the search. We'll help identify properties that fit your needs and arrange showings. But we're looking at more than countertops and paint colors: location, condition, price, resale, insurance, taxes, and flood considerations all matter.

4

Making an Offer

Found a property you love? We'll help you understand the information available and discuss the terms that may be included in your offer. An offer involves more than a purchase price — financing, deposits, inspection periods, closing costs, timelines, and contingencies may all be part of the negotiation.

5

Under Contract

Your offer was accepted — now the work continues. Depending on your transaction, next steps may include inspections, financing requirements, appraisal, title work, insurance, documentation, and other contractual deadlines. We'll help you keep track and communicate with the professionals involved.

6

Closing Day

You've made it through the process. At closing, the final documents are completed and the transaction is finalized. And then comes the moment you've been working toward: getting the keys to your new home. That's when we get to say, “Honey, I'm Home.”

First-Time Homebuyer?

It's normal to have questions. You may be wondering how much money you need, what credit score is required, whether assistance programs are available, or if you're even ready to buy. Don't let what you don't know keep you from finding out what's possible.

Start With a Buyer Consultation

How Much Home Can I Afford?

The answer isn't simply the highest amount a lender may approve. Your monthly payment can include taxes, homeowners insurance, flood insurance, mortgage insurance, and association fees. We encourage buyers to understand the bigger financial picture.

Already Pre-Approved?

Great! You're one step closer. If you've already spoken with a lender and received your pre-approval, let's talk about what you're looking for and begin developing your property search.
